Can Smiley Digital Pop-up or Smiley Digital Embed be modified so that it functions as its own web page?
You can use the Smiley Digital Embed to work in full page mode and function as its own web page. Another option is our Smiley Digital Solo, or Smiley Link, which are standalone web pages for feedback collection.
What are the supported web browsers?
We support the latest versions of modern web browsers. We make an effort to support other browsers as well, but they have not been tested.
Do you have a demo page containing Smiley Digital?

How can I use Smiley Digital on social media?
You will receive reports showing the Smiley Digital results. These reports have an option for sharing the results. You can also implement more automatic sharing yourself with the HappyOrNot API (premium feature).
If you want to collect feedback from social media, we recommend Smiley Link or Smiley Digital Solo. It is a link that leads to a standalone page, which opens in a browser window and collects feedback to that Smiley Digital Solo experience point.
Can the Smiley Digital products be used with emails?
Yes. There are three options. First, you can copy the Smiley Digital Embed email image and paste it into the body or signature part of the email. Second, you can also copy the raw html text and implement into your email system (this can be useful for automated emails). Third, you can use the web link (Smiley Digital Solo or Smiley Link) and paste it to your messages (or tag it to any image of your choice).
Can Smiley Digital products be linked/used in TOPdesk (service management software)?
We do not have experience with this integration.
Would I be able to change the question on my Smiley Digital at any time? If so, what would be the process?
You can easily change the question of your Smiley Digital with our web-based Reporting system. No programming or IT support is required.
Where should I add the Smiley Digital Javascript code within my web page code?
Add the Smiley Digital Pop-up snippet at the end of the `<body>` section in the HTML of a web page. Adding it to the `<head>` section or some other part usually works too. For the Smiley Digital Embed the longer JavaScript snippet part needs to be added to the end of the `<body>` section in the HTML of a web page. The shorter JavaScript snippet part needs to placed in the exact place in the HTML where the Smiley Digital Embed is to appear.
What does the Smiley Digital Pop-up frequency "daily" appearance setting mean? Is Smiley Digital Pop-up displayed every 24 hours?
In the Reporting service, you can select the interval "Smiley Digital Pop-up frequency" with which the Smiley Digital Pop-up panel is shown to each recurring visitor. When the option "daily" is used, this means the same Smiley Digital Pop-up panel will be shown again to the same returning user after a minimum period of 16 hours.
What does the Smiley Digital Embed allow feedback again setting always mean? Is Smiley Digital Embed displayed all the time?
In the Reporting service, you can select the interval "Allow feedback again" with which the Smiley Digital Embed element will accept feedback from the same returning user. By default this is always, but you can also limit is to allow the feedback more seldom.
Customers land on a page with a unique URL, is this likely to present a problem?
Smileys Digital does not use the URL of the page it is placed on. It is identified with the token included in the script.
Can we customize the Smiley Digital by removing the HappyOrNot provider info and logos from it?
It is not possible to customize the look and feel of Smiley Digital.
How does Smiley Digital work with multi-language websites? Is there a way we can program the question so that it changes according to the language version the user chooses?
It is possible to programmatically change the value of the language parameter you give to the Smiley Digital based on the language selected by each user. Please consult people who have a technical understanding of your website for these details.
Can I make Smiley Digital appear on a page only when it is being viewed from a normal PC, and not when it is used with a mobile browser?
Our basic installation shows the Smiley Digital as the page loads to any browser. It is, however, possible only to load the script on particular browsers or only load the script after an event. Please have a look at our website as an example: Smiley Digital loads after clicking a button.
Do you have any certifications or international standards (for example: ISO 25000) for the Smiley Digital application?
No.
Is it possible to get a non-floating version of Smiley Digital to center it to a given web page?
Yes, use Smiley Digital Embed is designed for this purpose.
Is it possible to build multiple-question surveys and to collect user personal data, such as name or telephone number on the Smiley Digital products? Can the questions then branch out onto other questions based on the answer?
Smiley Digital only asks one question from each visitor. The power of a one question survey is that it is fast and easy for the user, resulting far more feedback than surveys with multiple questions.
Is it possible to display a question in multiple languages on the same Smiley Digital panel?
The panel or element only shows the question in one language. If your website is available in multiple languages, we recommend deploying the Smiley Digital script with the correct language settings for each language version. Please check language support instructions in the deployment documentation above.
With Smiley Digital products, can the results be integrated into Salesforce for a customer?
You can use the HappyOrNot Data Export or the API (both premium features) to bring data into other systems.
What should I measure?
You should carefully consider what you want to measure. The home page of your website may not be the best area to survey visitors as most visitors have not yet experienced your service when they see Smiley Digital. Better place are specific product pages, or for example pages with low conversion rates or that you are planning on redesigning. The information you receive will be valuable for the redesign. We have seen very good results when the Smiley Digital is used after the customer has finished the checkout.
